We're a husband and wife team investing in early-stage technology companies. We're not a big firm, just two individuals looking to get involved with entrepreneurs with big ideas, where a bit of capital, advice, and sometimes even rolling up our sleeves, can go a long way.
What they did before Zerimar Ventures.
Angela and Ivan both cut their teeth at Salt Lake City based company Overstock.com. Ivan was employee twenty-three (23), where he worked in most areas of the business for close to 8 years. In early 2007, he moved on as their VP of Business Development to start his own company. He built and ran CommerceInterface for 5 years before selling it to Groupon in 2012. Groupon used its technology to jump-start and run Groupon Goods, which today is a global business operating in close to 20 countries. He spent two years at Groupon deploying the technology globally and then went on to build Staples Exchange, Staple's global e-commerce supply chain platform, before deciding to dedicate 100% of his time to rolling up his sleeves with several of their investments. Angela stayed with Overstock.com serving as Merchandise Manager for Worldstock (handcrafted), Luggage, Collectibles, Pets, Crafts, Main Street (small producers) and Baby. She was responsible for providing leadership and merchandise assortment guidance for buyers across seven stores, partner acquisition, training, business development, profit and loss management, and planning. After being at Overstock.com for close to 8 years, she left corporate life in 2012 to become a full time mom to their two boys Camilo and Sebastian, and help build Zerimar Ventures.
